16:00 - 18:00
A workshop of the Kompass³ programme . Trainer: Kathrin Steinbauer.
How do I fit back into my home culture after I return from my studies in Germany?
I have changed – how will my family and friends react to me?
Before returning to your home country you may ask yourself these and similar questions.
This seminar is designed to help international students,
– to reflect and share about how they have changed while living in Germany
– to prepare for the arrival at home and possible reactions
– to prepare for the Reverse Culture Shock
– to develop strategies for adaptation and reintegration, and for the career start
Through interactive methods the participants will be given the opportunity to reflect individually and in groups about their return and the hopes and fears associated with it, including possible changes of their return experience because of the Corona pandemic. They will be given the opportunity to ask questions about the return and to benefit from the experiences of others who have already gone through this experience.
This workshop will be held in English.
The workshop will take place online. After registration all participants will receive an access code to the meeting room. Before the workshop, participants will receive a short questionnaire and a worksheet for their individual preparation. These must be completed before the workshop in order to draw maximum benefit from this online workshop.
