How to approach a conversation that may be difficult.
This workshop shows how you can manage difficult conversations in a study or work context with skill and confidence and how you can prevent fear or other difficult emotions from taking over. It is suitable for anyone who wants to turn a difficult talk into constructive dialogue. You may have a conflict in your study group or with a fellow student, a tense situation with a professor / lecturer, a work conflict with a colleague, or you may have experienced unpleasant situations with authorities.
Course content
– Why some conversations are difficult, especially in intercultural situations
– Effective preparation and managing emotions
– Interventions in difficult situations
Your benefit
After this workshop you will understand common mistakes we make in conversations and how to avoid them. You will be able to apply techniques in emotionally-charged situations for more constructive dialogue.
