Workshop of the project „Studienerfolg im Dialog“  / Global Affairs Study and Teaching

Are you puzzled because there are so many different kinds of seminar performances you have to pass and you are not really sure what the requirements for each are? You are uncertain what your lecturer means by active presentation and “das Referat frei halten”? You are taken aback by the rather open critique of lecturers and fellow students as feedback? And you feel hesitant about the rules of discussions in a seminar?
If you have asked yourself these and similar questions, this workshop is just right for you. After various studying and teaching methods are introduced, together we want to discuss these and many other similar questions that might arise from differences in studying at a German university and in an academic surrounding.

This workshop is part of a discussion forum “Studienerfolg im Dialog” (Promoting study success) and aims to give international students a platform to discuss and exchange experiences about their study life and intercultural differences they face. Additionally, students can exchange views about their study environment and meet new people.

Everyone is welcome, international students just starting at Goethe-University as well as students in more advanced semesters. Anyone who has ideas and impulses to share, as well as those with experiences willing to share these with others.
